Telefonica inaugurates Rafa Nadal tennis academy in Mallorca

Telefonica CEO Jose Maria Alvarez-Pallete and Rafa Nadal have officially inaugurated the 'Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar' in the Spanish tennis player's native town of Manacor in Mallorca. Fellow tennis legend Roger Federer also attended the opening ceremony alongside the academy's pupils. In addition to 26 tennis courts, the academy has football pitches, swimming pools, athletic tracks and a clinic specialising in sports injuries. It has capacity for 140 students aged 11 to 18 who will be taught at the American International School of Mallorca while training to become professional tennis
