Telefonica increases female presence on revamped board

Telefonica has renewed its board of directors with the appointment of Claudia Sender and Veronica Pascual following the voluntary resignation of Wang Xiaochu and Luiz Fernando Furlan. The appointments mean 30 percent of the company's 17-strong board are women, in line with its Corporate Governance Code recommendations, with the majority considered independent members.
