Telefonica invests nearly EUR 50 mln in Aragon FTTH rollout

Wednesday 21 December 2016 | 09:41 CET | News
Telefonica has announced that it has invested a total of EUR 49.4 million over the past five years to roll out 207,396 kilometres of fibre-optic cable in the northeastern Spanish region of Aragon. The company's FTTH network now covers 411,596 households, equivalent to 66 percent of the Aragonese population. In a statement, Telefonica said FTTH is available in a total of 127 localities in three Aragonese provinces, with 41 connected to the company's 300 Mbps symmetric (download and upload) service, while the remaining 86 can access fibre-based broadband at speeds of at least 30 Mbps.
