Telefonica Ireland ends Q1 with 1.53 mln mobile customers

Telefonica Ireland ended Q1 2013 with a total customer access base of 1.56 million, down 3.4 percent from 1.62 million a year earlier. The mobile access base stood at 1.53 million, down 3.8 percent from 1.59 million, with prepay accounting for 739,500, down 10.9 percent from 830,000, and contract customers for 790,700, up 4 percent from 760,500. The total internet and data access base stood at 31,700 at end-Q1 (all broadband), up 20.2 percent from 26,400 a year earlier. ARPU was EUR 26.20 in Q1, down 10.2 percent fro EUR 29.2 a year earlier, with contract ARPU down 15 percent to EUR 34.10,
