Telefonica launches beta of Movistar ebook for Galaxy Tab

Telefonica Spain has launched a beta version of its Movistar ebook electronic bookstore for the Samsung Galaxy Tab, which the operator introduced this week, Cinco Dias reports. The beta version offers access to one chapter of around ten titles, including an interactive e-book called Amanda, which involves readers searching for the protagonist at websites and social networks. The official launch of Movistar ebook is planned for the end of 2010 or in January 2011, when it will be available on smartphones, e-readers and computers as well as tablets.
