Telefonica launches Movistar eSports Series competition

Telefonica has teamed up with ELS to launch a competition for amateur electronic sports players called Movistar eSports Series. The initiative is designed to offer the incentive to amateur players of earning trips to mayor events such as ESL One, Intel Extreme Masters and other iconic ESL events. Telefonica last year joined forces with e-sports company ESL to create a dedicated channel called Movistar eSports and set up an e-sports club called Movistar Riders made up of various professional video game teams based at the Movistar Game Centre.
