Telefonica, Liberty Global join EU digital skills coalition

The European Commission has presented a new charter on digital skills and said over 30 organisations have already signed up to work on improving the digital training of EU citizens. The charter is part of the New Skills Agenda for Europe, presented in June to help address the shortage in skilled ICT workers and provide a boost to training and the employment market. Adherents to the charter agree to work towards goals such as training 1 million young people for digital jobs by 2020, support the up-skilling of the existing workforce in digital technologies and increase digital training and
