Telefonica looking to add more MVNOs to Mexican network

Mexico is currently the leading country in Latin America in terms of the number of MVNOs currently operating and Telefonica is the leading network provider, said the director of Telefonica Mexico's wholesale business, Boris Velandia, at the eighth edition of the MVNO Latin America event. The number of MVNO users on Telefonica's Movistar network rose from 1 million at the end of 2016 to the current figure of 1.6 million, said Velandia, adding that the operator hosts a total of 13 MVNOs on its network, with more to come this year. Mexico is currently in sixth place in the global MVNO market,
