Telefonica Mexico adds Televisa's Blim to mobile offer

Telefonica, which operates under the Movistar brand in Mexico, has added the video platform of broadcaster Televisa to its range of mobile offers, reports website Xataka Movil. In a bid to compete with Netflix and Claro Video, Telefonica and Televisa have reached a deal that will allow subscribers to Movistar's Vas a Volar plans to access the Blim SVOD platform on mobile phones, tablets, computers and Smart TVs . Access to Blim's catalogue will be free to those subscribing to Vas a Volar plans above MXN 749 a month, while all other subscribers will have to pay MXN 99 a month for the service.
