Telefonica Mexico ordered to reimburse 19 million users

The first chamber of Mexico's Supreme Court of Justice has accepted a complaint lodged by consumer protection agency Profeco and ordered Telefonica to reimburse a total of 19 million users for mobile service deficiencies dating back to 2010. According to Profeco, the burden of proof now falls on the mobile company and, if none is submitted, all of Telefonica's mobile customers at the time are liable to compensation for the service fault.
