Telefonica moves LatAm headquarters to Brazil – report

Telefonica has decided to move the headquarters of its Latin American operations from Madrid to Sao Paulo, Cinco Dias reports, citing sources close to the matter. Santiago Fernandez Valbuena, president of Telefonica Latinoamerica, will also move to Brazil, the sources added. By year-end, the company will outline the implementation of the new corporate structure of its Latin American business. Via this movement, Telefonica seeks to improve management efficiency at its Latin America local units, and eliminate the time difference between Latin America and Spain, to enable easier implementation
