Telefonica, Netflix finalising content integration deal - report

Telefonica is in talks with Netflix to include the entire video on demand content of the US video streaming company on its Movistar+ pay-TV platform in Spain, reports Spanish daily El Espanol. Netflix already has peering agreements in place with the majority of Spain's ISPs and reached the milestone of 1 million subscribers in the second quarter of 2017 after once again doubling its customer base in the first 6 months of the year. The deal with Telefonica would included a peering deal to eliminate performance issues and would also allow the operator's subscribers to access Netflix content
