Telefonica NEXT showcases IoT tech at CeBIT

Telefonica Deutschland has announced that it's taking advantage of its appearance at CeBIT to present a number of consumer-led IoT products developed by its recently-launched startup NEXT. The applications include a smart shirt, a smart dog's collar, a connected gas bottle and Smart Care, a service designed to help elderly people remain independent for longer using digital technology. The company said the applications harness its specifically developed IoT software platform Geeny, which offers ready-made services such as intelligent algorithms.
