Brazilian operator Telefonica/Vivo inaugurated on April 2 the new headquarters in the capital of the state of Sao Paulo. The 12-storey Eco Berrini building will house about 5,000 employees of the company. The operator's sites in Sao Paulo will be reduced from ten to three. Furthermore, Telefonica Latin America will move its administrative headquarters from Madrid to a now vacated building in Sao Paulo before the middle of the year. Chairman Cesar Alierta told Expansion that the group was transferring around 200 staff from Spain and Latin America to work at the new regional headquarters.
