Telefonica opens second international PoP in Mexico City

Monday 10 December 2018 | 11:19 CET | News
Telefonica Business Solutions, the B2B unit of Spanish telecommunications operator Telefonica, has announced the launch of a new point of presence (PoP) in Mexico City, its second in the capital and third in the country. The new PoP is located in KIO Networks' Tier-III data centre and connects to Telefonica's Tier-1 international network in the US and Mexico via 10Gbps links. The company said its infrastructure enables it to deploy the virtualised network functions (NFV) it already offers in other locations in the region, including Miami and Sao Paulo.
