Telefonica Peru hit with PEN 35 mln fine for mobile quality breaches

Peruvian telecommunications services regulator Osiptel has fined Telefonica del Peru a total of over PEN 35 million for failing to comply with quality of service commitments in a total of 108 localities throughout the country. The watchdog said Telefonica breached service quality improvement, voice quality and text message delivery commitments corresponding to the first half of 2016 and of 2017.
