Telefonica Peru to upgrade Lurin satellite earth station

Telefonica del Peru has announced a major expansion of its satellite earth station in Lurin in the Lima province, which has grown to become one of the largest telecommunications hubs in Latin America. The operator has to date invested a total of USD 100 million in the centre, which manages the signals of over 750 channels in 12 countries throughout the region as well as Telefonica's satellite TV operations in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Venezuela and Peru.
