Telefonica pulls the plug on Mpass

The wireless payment system Mpass operated by Telefonica and Wirecard will be discontinued at the end of September, heise.de reports. Users are currently being informed that payments will be no longer possible via the system from 01 October, and remaining credit must be debited by 30 September. Afterwards, customers have to claim a refund by email or post.
