Telefonica, Santillana team up on education

Telefonica and Spanish publisher Santillana, owned by the Prisa group, have signed an agreement to strengthen the educational focus of their respective foundations and to review the role of technology in the pedagogical sphere. Under the terms of the three-year agreement, the companies will develop the Santillana Foundation's "Leadership and Educational Knowledge" programme and jointly support a number of educational initiatives, above all in Spain and Latin America.
