Telefonica says incumbent player market policy outdated

The executive director of public policy and regulation of the Telefonica group, Carlos Lopez Blanco, has called on watchdogs to stop regulating the telecommunications market from the perspective of the existence of incumbents, which he defined as an "outdated" concept, reports Teletime. He pointed out that a telecommunications operator, in the best case scenario, has a 30-40 percent market share, while on the internet markets, there are players with more than a 90 percent share.
