Telefonica, Seat, DGT team up on IoT road safety project

Telefonica has joined forces with car manufacturer Seat and Spain's Directorate General of Traffic (DGT) to present two new systems that use Internet of Things technology to boost road safety and reduce accidents on Spanish roads. The early detection systems are designed to warn drivers of upcoming hazards such as the presence of a cyclist riding along the same road or a stationary car that's broken down.
