Telefonica to boost 30 Mbps fibre offer to 50 Mbps for free

Telefonica has announced that it will automatically increase the speed of its basic 30 Mbps Movistar Fusion fibre service to 50 Mbps for free in October. The service will remain symmetric (50 Mbps download and upload) and the higher speed will apply to new subscribers and all existing users who request it. The 30 Mbps Fusion+ offer currently costs around EUR 70 a month and comes with eight La Liga games per match day plus unlimited landline calls and a mobile line with unlimited calls and 3GB in data. Around a third of Telefonica's 3 million fibre customers currently subscribe to the 30 Mbps
