Telefonica to cease offering Tuenti brand in Peru

Thursday 3 October 2019 | 11:03 CET | News
Telefonica has announced that it will officially shut down its Tuenti brand in Peru on 13 October, migrating all its customers to the Movistar brand. The company launched the Tuenti Peru MVNO back in October 2014, targeting the youth segment with a prepay offer and bundles offering unlimited social networking data and minutes. In a brief statement, the company said over 150,000 Tuenti customers in the country will now be able to enjoy access to exclusive Movistar benefits such as the Movistar Play OTT platform and the company's customer service channels.
