Telefonica to double excess mobile data limit to 1GB

Telefonica is set to change the excess data conditions for all Movistar mobile users, imposing a 1GB limit starting in May, reports website Xataka Movil. The company was the first Spanish operator to start charging users to continue surfing at their contracted speed once they passed their monthly limit, with customers having to pay 1.5 eurocents per 1MB up to a maximum of 500MB before having their speed reduced. Telefonica is now increasing the excess data limit to 1GB, or EUR 15, for all Movistar Vive and Fusion subscribers starting on 18 May. However, users can deactivate the automatic
