Telefonica to host blockchain-themed hackathon in Madrid

Telefonica has announced the launch of its first coding hackathon focused on blockchain technology at its Open Future space on Madrid's Gran Via. The event will propose three challenges for participants to develop new apps in the areas of administration, insurance, law, cybersecurity and IoT. The event will take place from 24 to 26 November and will also feature roundtables and panels run by leading professionals in the sector, said Telefonica, adding that the selected startups will be given 4 months' access to a work space as well as a one-year membership of the Alastria blockchain-focused
