Telefonica to invest over EUR 100 mln in Valencia this year

Thursday 15 March 2018 | 08:57 CET | News
Telefonica has announced plans to invest over EUR 100 million this year in expanding and upgrading fixed and mobile telecommunications infrastructure in the Valencia region. The vast majority of the investment – 76 percent – will be spent on bringing fibre-optic services to 400,000 new homes and businesses in the Alicante, Castellon and Valencia provinces, said the company, adding that it expects to reach 70 percent fibre coverage in the region by the end of the year, including over 80 percent in cities such as Valencia.
