Telefonica to invest USD 9 mln in Venezuela 4G network

Telefonica is set to invest around VEF 30 billion (some USD 9 million) to install 160 new LTE base stations in Venezuela and expand the 4G network to 6 new cities, reports website Konzapata, citing the company's president Pedro Cortez. The rollout represents a 60 percent expansion of the operator's network and is set to be completed by the first quarter of 2018.
