Telefonica to launch Tuenti brand in Argentina

Tuenti, the social network and virtual operator controlled by Spanish telecoms company Telefonica, expects to launch its mobile service in the Argentine market, Cinco Dias reports. Tuenti will integrate the operation of Quam, a mobile brand launched by Telefonica in Argentina in 2013, which targets the youth segment. Quam currently has 40,000 subscribers in the country. Tuenti already operates in Mexico and Peru. In Spain, Tuenti launched operations two years ago and currently has nearly 230,000 subscribers.
