Telefonica's Alcala Data Centre becomes Europe's largest

A year after its inauguration Telefonica's Alcala Data Centre has become Europe's largest data centre and the world's third biggest after obtaining Tier IV Gold certification. The certification confirms that the centre meets Uptime Institute standards, guarantees its operational sustainability and attests to its high level of infrastructure availability. Located in the town of Alcala de Henares, near Madrid, the centre has received over 1,000 visits to its premises and secured over 100 business customers from Spain's major economic sectors in its first 12 months of operation. Telefonica has
