Telefonica's cyber-security service helps Spanish SMBs avoid 80,000 potential cyber-security incidents

Telefonica’s cyber-security service for SMBs Conexion Segura Empresas helped Spanish SMBs subscribed to it avoid over 80,000 potential cyber-security incidents since the platform was launched in May. Of those, more than 89 percent of blocks occurred when end-users tried to access risky domains or websites, as a result of ‘phishing’. On average, 100 new and existing SMB customers subscribe to the service per day.

Powered by Allot and McAfe, Conexion Segura Empresas acts as a platform that, installed in the core of the Telefonica network, can ‘filter’ all the data that enter the company network, analyse their patterns and discard what is categorised as a virus or malicious software. It was launched in November 2018.

This platform also prevents users from landing on websites categorised as risky or inappropriate due to their content, and avoids website impersonation, fraud and private data theft derived from scams. It also protects the company employees’ fixed and mobile devices in cases of device loss or theft, and when they are connected outside the corporate network.

This new service makes possible the personalisation of the security platform throughout the company through its easy-to-use management portal. The portal provides data analytics for the company’s web browsing behavior and allows them to set control policies.

The service uses Allot's NetworkSecure platform to provide effective and immediate protection against malware in both fixed and mobile networks.
