Telegram messenger sees 600% rise in sales of goods in Russia in 2018 after blocking decision

Sales of goods over the Russian messenger Telegram grew by 593 percent year-on-year in Russia in 2018 despite the decision of the regulator to block the messenger, reports Tdaily.ru citing a study from marketing platform Admitad. Advertisers' sales revenues totaled USD 1 million in Russia and the figure was more than USD 11 million globally.
