Telekom Deutschland completes nationwide upgrade to Docsis 3.1

Telekom Deutschland, a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom, said it has completed the nationwide upgrade of its cable network to the Docsis 3.1 standard. In the course of this year, Telekom upgraded its nodes in Germany to modern remote PHY devices and installed new components close to residential units. From these nodes, households are supplied with a fibre-deep architecture as FTTB. At the request of housing companies, households can also receive FTTH connections.
