Telekom, Intel back new digital research centre in Berlin

A new research centre on digital policy has opened in Berlin with support from around 20 leading companies and several universities. The Einstein Center Digital Future will offer 50 new professorships in digitialisation issues affecting society and the economy. Companies such as Intel, SAP, Deutsche Telekom, Viessmann and Zalando have contributed in total EUR 20 million to the foundation running the centre, and the Berlin government has agreed to provide 50 cents for every euro brought in the private sector. The initial funding of a total EUR 38.5 million should support the centre's work for
