Telekom launches LTE, HSPA mobile broadband services

Telekom Deutschland has officially launched the new mobile broadband service 'Call & Surf Comfort via Funk' on 05 April. It is available exclusively in around 1,500 areas across Germany currently without DSL provision. It uses LTE and HSPA technology and offers download and upload speeds of up to 3 Mbps and 500 kbps respectively. To use the service, customers need a special router - with Telekom offering an HSPA or LTE-enabled device. Both the Speedport HSPA and Speedport LTE devices have a WLAN function. Customers ordering the new service will get a SIM-card for their router. This SIM card
