Telekom Slovenije first to roll out 5G network in Slovenia

Friday 24 July 2020 | 11:10 CET | News
Telekom Slovenije announced it is the first operator in Slovenia to launch a 5G network nationally, using existing base stations and the 2600 MHz frequency spectrum it already uses for 4G. This upgrade will provide higher data transfer speeds than on the LTE network already in the first phase, while the full potential of 5G will become available after additional frequency bands are awarded, the operator said.
