Telekom Slovenije sees higher FY revenues, EBITDA

Thursday 7 December 2017 | 17:41 CET | News

The Telekom Slovenije Group's board has approved the company's strategic plan for 2019-2022. The company also announced it's targeting revenues of EUR 755.3 million in 2017, up from EUR 702 million in 2016, and EBITDA up to EUR 209.8 million from EUR 199.3 million in 2016. Net profit is expected largely stable this year, at EUR 40.9 million, and investments will be up slightly to EUR 158 million.

Looking ahead, the company said it expects a high level of competitiveness in its markets, exacerbated by consolidation both within and across countries. Telekom Slovenije plans to focus on maintaining its position in the mobile services market and increasing its share in the fixed market, generating new revenue streams, maintaining a high-quality network, consolidating in individual markets, simplifying processes and IT infrastructure, personnel restructuring and financial stability.

In the saturated Slovenian market, the company said it expects revenues to fall, as it is unable to match the low prices of alternative operators. Instead, the company will focus on expanding and upgrading the optical broadband network, enhancing the range of convergence packages, expanding its offer outside basic telecom services, providing the best user experience and a comprehensive offer of ICT services.
