Telekom Slovenije wins appeal over T-2 damages

Tuesday 22 January 2013 | 11:22 CET | News
Telekom Slovenije does not have to pay the EUR 130 million in penalties for abuse of its dominant market position in the provision of VDSL services to T-2, according to a court decision in Ljubljana. Judge Katja Kmetic ruled that T-2 did not provide evidence to justify the amount of the claim, while the lawyer of T-2 said the operator gave a full insight into its finances and provided witness statements, according to local media reports. T-2 fought the suit for five years, and Telekom Slovenije responded with its own claims against the operator, including seeking a forced bankruptcy of T-2.
