Telenor adds 800,000 mln subscribers in India in Q2

Telenor's Indian operation added 800,000 subscribers during the second quarter, ending June with a total subscriber base of 44.9 million, which represents an increase of 13 percent year-on-year. ARPU in local currency decreased by 2 percent to INR 93. The decline was primarily driven by lower voice consumption, partly compensated by increased data usage, parent company Telenor reported.
