Telenor Bulgaria fined for lying to subs about LTE speeds

Bulgaria's Commission for Protection of Competition (CPC) fined Telenor Bulgaria for publicly disseminating false information about the characteristics of its 4G/LTE network, rival operator Max Telecom announced. As Telenor Bulgaria infringed article 31 of the Law on Protection of Competition, it received a penalty of 1 percent of its 2015 net sales which is equal to BGN 5.242 million. The duration of the infringement is about 10 months (November 26, 2015 - present) since there still are misleading posts on the site of Telenor Bulgaria about the speeds its 4G/LTE network can support.
