Telenor Denmark phases in 2CA and works on 3CA

Thursday 29 October 2015 | 12:15 CET | News
Telenor Danmark said it and Intel are testing new technology that creates several tracks on the digital highway and thereby improves 4G network capacity. It is introducing carrier aggregation (2CA) to enable two frequency blocks to be melded and thereby to double bandwidth, enabling it to reach a theoretical data speed of up to 300 Mbps. It said 100 of its masts will be equipped with carrier aggregation technology by the end of 2015, and 400 more in the first quarter of 2016.
