Telenor Norway, CareTech digitise personal safety alarms

Thursday 27 August 2015 | 12:39 CET | News
Telenor Norway said it is digitising 10,000 personal safety alarms. There are about 80,000 active safety alarms nationwide, all of which will be digitised over the coming years. Oslo has the largest number and the ones there will be among the first to get an upgrade. Oslo city councillor Aud Kvalbein said digitising the service is an important step in 'smarter' care for elderly people as it will free up time for providing care. The alarms come with sensors to spot if someone has fallen or burned themselves.
