Telenor Norway renews handset collections with sports clubs

Tuesday 16 December 2014 | 12:44 CET | News
Telenor Norway said it has renewed its deal with the national sports association NIF to collect old mobile phones. Alpine skiing star Kjetil Jansrud will front the campaign in 2015. The arrangement saves tonnes in electronic waste. Since Telnor Norway began the recycling campaign in 2009, more than 500,000 used handsets have been submitted, generating NOK 18 million for sports clubs. Each phone submitted earns NOK 35.
