Telenor Norway says TV viewing rises 7% year on year in May despite no Eurovision Song Contest

Telenor Norway has reported an average increase in television viewing of 7 percent in May 2020 compared with the same month last year, even though Covid-19 restrictions meant the cancellation of sporting events and the Eurovision Song Contest. Peak viewing was on 17 May, which is Norwegian National Day. Time spent watching TV was nearly 30 percent higher that day than in 2019.
