Telenor Norway says VULA ruling confuses tech mix

Monday 19 January 2015 | 12:36 CET | News
Telenor Norway said the Department of Transport and Communications decision to reject its appeal against having to open up its fibre network to competitors is based on an unfortunate confusion of the newer market for fibre access and older technologies. Telenor said it has approximately 20 percent of the fibre network market. Even so, the operator will comply and will provide wholesale fibre access from 20 January, said CEO Berit Svendsen. Telenor was due to present its VULA products at its Fornebu headquarters at 15:00 hrs on that date.
