Telenor not to participate in India spectrum auction

Telenor has decided not to participate in the upcoming spectrum auction in India, as "the proposed spectrum prices do not give an acceptable level of return". The statement was made by parent company Telenor. Telenor India saw its second-quarter revenues in local currency increase by 13 percent compared to the same quarter of 2015, to NOK 1.56 billion. Telenor's Indian operation added 0.8 million subscriptions during the second quarter.
