Telenor Pakistan continues 3G expansion

Telenor Pakistan announced it will be expanding its 3G footprint to 45 cities by the end of October. During the fifth phase of commercial roll out, 3G services were launched in Lodhran, Khanewal, Malakand, Rahim Yar Khan, Murree and Nathia Gali, and Lower Dir, Mansehra, Sukkur, Larkana, Ghotki and Bhakkar will be equipped with 3G service by the end of this month. A free trial of 3G services will be offered to customers in these areas for two weeks, including up to 50 MB per day. The announcement comes as Telenor reported a jump in capex in Pakistan to NOK 451 million in Q3 from NOK 269
