Telenor says thunder, lightning damage cases rise 93%

Telenor Norway said it has repaired 1,981 faults caused by thunder and lightning nationwide in the nine weeks to the end of July, almost twice the number of incidents compared with the same period of 2015. It said lightning strikes damaged devices ranging from modems to broadband cables and the number of cases rose 93 percent.
