Telenor Sweden denies selling customer data

Thursday 29 January 2015 | 13:14 CET | News
Telenor Sweden denies having sold any customer information, in connection with a TV4 programme concerning a court case in Malmo. The operator said it wanted to make it clear that it has not sold its lists of telephone numbers or IP addresses to other parties. It said the broadcast concerned the use of WAP, an old technology that Telenor stopped using in December 2014. It said the Malmo court case concerns the period 2012-2013, when WAP was still widely used.
