Telenor Sweden reports data privacy breach affecting 120,000 customers

Friday 6 July 2018 | 12:10 CET | News
Telenor Sweden said it has reported a data privacy breach to the Data Protection Authority. Between 15 May and 07 June, Telenor was using the Identiway authentication service for customers registered as the bill payer on the 'Mitt Telenor' customer portal. Customers identified themselves by using the service to log on to the tax office portal with their electronic Bank-ID, and by giving Telenor consent to access their social security number in order to verify their identity.
