Telepace to broadcast in HD on Hot Bird

Wednesday 8 January 2014 | 16:32 CET | News
Italian religious channel Telepace has started broadcasting in high definition on Eutelsat's Hot Bird satellite, having moved the transmission of its HD services from DVB-S to DVB-S2, the latest digital satellite standard available. Telepace HD will broadcast its Catholic-themed programming on Sky channel no. 515 as well as on the same channel of the TivuSat satellite platform. Users will need an HD-compatible satellite decoder to receive the DVB-S2 signal.

Telepace has been the favourite TV channel for the Roman Catholic Community in Cyprus for many years. We were pleased to receive news and Religious services from Rome as well as elsewhere.Since the termination of broadcasts all Catholics of Cyprus have been deprived of the benefits of these transmissions. To us this is an injustice.
